Trempski Wins Event at NSISC Championships

Cleveland, Miss.—The Centenary Ladies and Gents swim teams wrapped up their season at the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships over the weekend. The Ladies finished seventh out of nine teams with a final score of 142 while the Gents placed seventh out of seven teams with a score of 210.

The trip to the NSISC Championships was highlighted by Robert Trempski’s effort in the 200 Yard Backstroke. Trempski took first place with a time of 1:52.09 to narrowly defeat Cagri Sapmaz of Delta State who posted a time of 1:52.20.

The Centenary men’s team took fifth place in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:19.58. Other participants on the final day of action from Centenary included Jacob Stevens (16th in the 200 Yard Backstroke), Devin Rourke (13th in the 200 Yard Breaststroke), and Matija Fojs (12th in the 200 Yard Butterfly). On the Ladies side, Elizabeth Staton placed 13th in the 200 Yard Breaststroke while the relay team finished seventh in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
