Shreveport—Centenary athletic director Taylor Moore has postponed Tuesday’s baseball game featuring Centenary and Northwestern State in Natchitoches. A Centenary baseball player suffered a non-athletic related illness that required immediate surgery on Sunday afternoon while the Gents where playing a Mid-Continent Conference contest at Chicago State. The player is expected to be hospitalized indefinitely and head coach Ed McCann has stayed in Chicago to tend to the athlete.

The game between the Gents and Demons will be played at a point later in the season after both coaches have had a chance to discuss alternate dates.
