ELMHURST, Ill. – A day after setting Centenary’s single season save record with 113, Ladies goalkeeper Lindsey Stafford was named Defensive Player of the Week by the Mid-Continent Conference.  Her 22 saves in two wins, including a league high 13 against Southern Miss, ensured the junior her third accolade of the season.

Stafford collected nine saves against visiting IUPUI on Friday to help ensure the Ladies their second consecutive Mid-Con postseason appearance.  Her 13 save performance two days later vaulted her past her own record of 109 which she held with Martha Chaney (1993).

The Ladies host their final regular season match on Sunday, October 31st at 1:00 pm at Mayo Field.  Stafford will be honored as one of eight graduating players on Senior Day.
