Gents Drop Match 4-0 to Mid-Con Regular Season Champs Oral Roberts

TULSA, Okla.- The Centenary Gents lost 4-0 in a challenging match against undefeated conference foe Oral Roberts at the ORU Soccer Complex on Friday night.

 

The Golden Eagles took an early lead with junior Dave Leng scoring his first of three goals in the second minute.  Oral Roberts (10-4-1, 5-0-1) pounded Centenary’s keeper Ransone Rose with shots, as Leng struck again before the buzzer.

ORU continued to dominate the match in the second half with Leng dribbling past Rose in the 63rd minute finishing off his hat trick. ORU's offensive attack concluded with sophomore Kellon Sanders who scored off a cross from Miguel Peralta at the 86:40 mark.

The Golden Eagles outshot the Gents 18-8. Rose had six saves on the night. 

The Centenary Gents (4-7-2, 0-3-1) will stay in Tulsa to battle UMKC (3-10-0, 2-3-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
