Ladies Finish Third in Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla.—The Centenary Ladies gymnastics team defeated Texas Woman’s University despite falling to Big 12 powers Oklahoma and Missouri on Sunday. The Ladies outscored the Pioneers 192.075 to 191.350 on the evening. Oklahoma took the meet with a team score of 196.500 while Missouri finished second with a final tally of 193.925.

 

Kristina Menne captured two of the highest placements for the Ladies by taking the fifth spot on the uneven bars (9.675) and in the all-around (38.775). The sophomore also captured sixth place on the floor exercise with a 9.850.

 

Sarah Racioppi garnered a seventh place finish on the balance beam with a 9.800 effort and grabbed the eighth spot on the floor with a 9.825.

 

The win for Centenary is the third consecutive over a fellow USA Gymnastics opponent. The Ladies will travel to Denton to take on Texas Woman’s University on Saturday at 7 pm.
