Ladies Fall in Season Finale to Chicago State 75-52

CHICAGO, Ill. – Five Chicago State players scored in double-figures as the Centenary women’s basketball team lost its season finale 75-52. 

 

Junior Van’esha Brabson moved into third place on the Ladies all-time rebounding list after grabbing three boards off the bench.  She added 11 points in a reserve role.

 

Holli Wilkins paced the way for Centenary (1-25, 0-16 Mid-Con) with a game-high 16 points while fellow sophomore Jelena Aleksic added 14.  Laura Kizyte chipped in with a team-high six rebounds.

 

The Cougars (13-14, 8-8 Mid-Con) dominated the inside, outscoring the Ladies 36-16 in the paint.  The CSU frontcourt accounted for 50 of the Cougar’s 75 points.  Renada Blackburn scored 15 while Chandra Timberlake and Wendi Walker added 13 and 11 respectively.
