ELMHURST, Ill.—Centenary men’s basketball players Chad Maclies and Tyrone Hamilton have been named to a pair of Mid-Continent Conference all-league teams for their efforts this season. The honor is the first for both players and is the second time a Gents player has been saddled with a postseason Mid-Con honor in as many years in the conference.

Maclies, a senior from Kingwood, Texas, received second team All-Mid-Con accolades after posting 18 ppg. and 8.1 rpg. in his final season at Centenary. He accounted for 28% of the Gents total offense and finished fourth in the conference in rebounding. He leaves Centenary ranking 17th on the all-time rebounding list with 591 and ninth in both field goal percentage (.523) and blocked shots (47).

Hamilton, a freshman from Shreveport, La., was named to the Mid-Con All-Newcomer Team after averaging 12.5 ppg. and 3.9 apg. for the Gents. He placed among the conference leaders in assists, three-point field goals made, and three-point field goal percentage throughout the season. He led Centenary in assists (93) and made three-pointers (50) while finishing second in points and field goals made to Maclies.
