ELMHURST, Ill – The Centenary softball team swept the Mid-Continent Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week.  Freshmen Lauren Flowers and Jessica Ivins earned Player and Pitcher respectively for their efforts over New Mexico and UC-Riverside as the Ladies went 2-1 at the Texas Tech Red Raider Classic.

Ivins earned her second consecutive Pitcher of the Week accolade after picking up a pair of wins over the weekend.  She pitched a complete game six-hitter in the Ladies 4-3 victory over New Mexico and picked up the win against UC-Riverside in a relief appearance.  Ivins struck out 11 batters on the weekend.

Flowers picks up her first Player of the Week award batting .375 over the weekend.  She finished the tournament with a homerun, triple, and a double to go with her three RBI and four runs scored.

The award is the second of the year for Ivins, the first for Flowers, and the fifth for Centenary.  Ivins and Janis Kelley won last week while Lindsey Virdell won for the week of February 7.
