Ladies Tennis Team Improves Record Dominating Oakland

VALPARAISO, Ind.- The Ladies tennis team earned their first Mid-Continent Conference victory on Saturday afternoon against Oakland. The Ladies took four of the singles points and the doubles point for the 5-2 win.

Centenary’s top two doubles teams demolished Oakland as Anja Schmidt and Heather Kelley easily took the No. 1 match 8-1 and Christine Majchrowicz and Ashlee Mantooth nabbed the No. 2 win 8-2.

Veterans Schmidt, Kelley, and Christine Majchrowicz led the team in singles competition posting impressive victories. Freshman Lindsay Ezell registered her first conference win battling through the third set in the sixth slot, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Centenary (3-10, 1-1) will finish conference action tomorrow taking on Valparaiso at 9:00 a.m.
