Kizyte, Maclies Earn LSWA All-Louisiana Honors

Chad Maclies

SHREVEPORT – Centenary basketball players Laura Kizyte and Chad Maclies have received All-Louisiana accolades by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.  Kizyte was named Honorable Mention All-Louisiana while Maclies earned Second Team honors.


A junior transfer, Kizyte had also been named the Mid-Continent Conference Newcomer of the Year for her rookie efforts for the Ladies.  She averaged 11.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.2 steals per game.


Maclies led the Gents in scoring (18.0 ppg), rebounding (8.1 rpg), field goal percentage (52%), and steals (1.4 spg) as a senior.  He also earned Second Team All-Mid-Con honors this season as well.


The pair are the fourth and fifth Centenary athletes to have their achievements recognized by the LSWA.  Ladies soccer’s Mindi Levinski and Lindsey Stafford were named First Team and Honorable Mention respectively, while Volleyball’s Lindsay Bekelja took home Second Team honors.
