SHREVEPORT—The Centenary volleyball team will host its final two home matches of the season this weekend as IUPUI and Chicago State come to the Gold Dome. Saturday’s contest with the Cougars will also be Senior Night for Tracee Byrd and Kelley Heckman.

Centenary will take on IUPUI for the second time this season. The Jaguars handed the Ladies a 3-0 loss on October 8th (30-23, 30-21, 30-17). Game time for Friday is set for 7 p.m.

In Saturday’s 5 p.m. contest between the Ladies and Chicago State, Centenary is seeking revenge of a 3-1 loss (30-17, 29-31, 30-17, 32-30) to the Cougars in early October. The maroon and white will also be hosting its first Senior Night festivities since 2003 to honor Byrd and Heckman.

Byrd (Long Beach, Miss.) ranks first all-time in career kills (1,213) and block assists (154). She is second in career kill attempts with 3,325, third in aces (136) and total blocks (174), and ninth in digs with 553.

Heckman (Baytown, Tex.) places first all-time in career digs (1,158), third in career kills (767) and attempts (2,811), and fourth in aces (120).

Both Byrd and Heckman also hold several single-season marks. A complete list of accomplishments will be read in their honor at Saturday’s match.
