SHREVEPORT—Centenary men’s basketball coach Rob Flaska has announced the signing of Milutin Marjanovic to a National Letter of Intent. The 6’ 10”, 260-pound post from Belgrade, Serbia, will provide much-needed size to the Gents roster.

Marjanovic attended Radoje Dake, a secondary mechanical engineering school in Belgrade, and would be a freshman upon his arrival at Centenary.

“Milutin brings an inside presence to our team. He is a very physical and tough player in the lane area,” said Flaska. “His rebounding and defense on the block will be a major impact to our program.”

When asked about the importance of the signing, Flaska replied, “This is a big signing for our program to get a player with the size and ability that Milutin possesses. He is being pursued by numerous professional teams in his home country of Serbia, but he wants to play college basketball in the United States.”

Centenary is a Division I member of the Mid-Continent Conference and is located in Shreveport, La. Founded in 1825, Centenary is the oldest college west of the Mississippi River.
