Ladies Volleyball Drops Match to ULL

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Centenary volleyball team lost a three game decision to in-state rival Louisiana-Lafayette in the Southern Spikes Collect Classic hosted by the Ragin’ Cajuns.


The Ladies fell 22-30, 21-30, and 26-30 in their first match of the tournament.  Sophomore setter Lindsay Bekelja led Centenary with 32 assists while freshman Ashlee Freeman nailed a match-high 13 kills.  Senior Tracce Byrd added a match-best 10 digs in the loss.


Centenary will finish play in the tournament tomorrow against Louisiana Tech at 12 p.m. and Jackson State at 5 p.m.
