MOBILE, Ala. – The Centenary women’s golf team used strong first round performances from Chloe’ Mims and Tracy Williams to finish the first day of action at the 2006 Lady Jaguar Invitational at Azalea City Golf Course in 13th place.  The Ladies shot a 319 as a team in a highly competitive field as the top 13 teams are separated by just 22 shots.

 

Mims round of 77 is good for a tie in 28th place while Williams finished the day a stroke off at 78 to tie for 36th.  Leigh Newton’s 81 tied her for 59th after shooting the Ladies best front nine score of 39 while Jessica Garza shaved seven strokes off her front nine 45 to tie in 79th place with 83.  Bethany Cox finished the opening round in 104th place with a 94 to finish out of scoring consideration.
