Tennis Ladies Fall in Dual Match with SFA

NACOGDOCHES, Tex.—The Centenary women’s tennis team traveled to Stephen F. Austin State University on Thursday and fell at the hands of the LadyJacks 7-0. With the loss, the Ladies drop to 0-4 on the season in dual matches.

 

Centenary’s top doubles team of Christine Majchrowicz and Heather Kelley fell to Kama Scott and Megan Langston by the score of 8-2. Lindsey Ezell and Jennifer Majchrowicz also lost by the same count while Kristina Collins and Courtney Myers went down 8-0 in the second slot.

 

SFA proved to be dominant on the singles side as their #1, #2, #3, and #6 players all won with identical 6-0, 6-0 scores. Myers proved to be the biggest challenge as she fought to a 6-2, 6-2 loss to #4 Lauren Nowicki and Jennifer Majchrowicz came up on the short side of her match with #5 Mary Harrison 6-3, 6-0. 

 

The Ladies will continue their current road trip with a dual match at Texas-Arlington on Saturday at 2 p.m.
