LUFKIN, Texas – The Centenary men’s golf team is in 12th place with a score of 346 after the first day of the Stephen F Austin Crown Classic.  Monday’s initial double-round was cut to just 18 holes because of poor early weather.

 

David Viviano paces the Gents with a 77, tied for 45th place.  Following him are John Hogan (56th, 86) and Nick Orta (T-66, 89).  Finishing out the Gents scores are Mike Lowbardino (68th, 94) and Zach Bruhnke (69th, 96).

 

Missouri State leads the pack with 287, followed closely by Texas-Pan American at 288.  Oral Roberts (292) and Texas A&M (JV) (293) edge Stephen F. Austin (294) and Sam Houston State (294), while Texas State (295), McNeese State (296), Southern Illinois (298), and Nicholls State (298) are right behind.  Rounding out the competition is UMKC (305) and Centenary (346).
