Majchrowicz Picks Up Fifth Win in Ladies Loss to Tech

RUSTON, La.—Centenary’s Jennifer Majchrowicz picked up her fifth win of the week in the Ladies loss to Louisiana Tech on Saturday. The Maroon and White fell 5-2 to its in-state rival as Majchrowicz continued her torrid play and Kristina Collins grabbed a win as well.


Centenary (1-8) lost a hard fought doubles match in the #1 slot as the duo of Heather Kelley and Christine Majchrowicz pushed their opponents to the limit but came up on the short side of the 9-7 score. Jennifer Majchrowicz and Versha Sharma went down 8-1 as the Lady Techsters earned the doubles point.


Collins emerged victorious from her battle with Gaspar of Louisiana Tech in the #3 position 6-4, 6-1 before Jennifer Majchrowicz finished off her opposition 6-3, 6-3 for the Ladies in the fifth slot.


Kelley fell in the first position 6-3, 6-2 and Christine Majchrowicz lost 6-3, 6-4 to her counterpart in the second slot. #4 Courtney Myers was downed 6-0, 6-0 and Sharma fell to #6 Tran 6-0, 6-0.


The team will now get a week to regroup after playing five matches in five days. The Ladies will make their way to Mississippi to mix it up with Alcorn State on April 2nd at 2 p.m.
