BOSSIER CITY, La.- Hosting their final tournament before the Mid-Continent Conference championships, the Centenary men’s golf team finished the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate in 13th place.  The Gents shot a 334 on the final day to finish at 994 after Monday’s scores of 333 and 327.


Louisiana-Lafayette won the event with rounds of 286, 297, and 291 for 874.  The edged out New Orleans (289-291-297) and Birmingham-Southern (289-284-304) by three strokes and Louisiana Tech (293-288-297) by four.


Kenji Murayama of New Orleans took home first place, shooting a tournament low opening round of 67 to go with a pair of 71’s for 209.  McNeese State’s Brandon Eaton (69-73-71) finished four strokes behind Murayama for second while Brad Risenhoover (70-75-69) finished third.  Louisiana Tech’s Amrith de Soysa (74-70-72) and Birmingham-Southern’s Austin Frye (70-70-76) tied for fourth with 216.


David Viviano shot the best round of the day for the Gents Tuesday, adding a 77 to his 75 and 82 to tie for 49th place with 234.  John Hogan (83-78-83) finished 63rd with 244 while Matt Williams (89-84-87) and Mike Lowbardino (91-83-87) both shot rounds of 87 to finish 66th and 67th respectively.  Zach Bruhnke (86-99-93) finished 69th at 278.
