CEDAR CITY, Utah—Centenary softball players Lauren Flowers and Megan Hall earned the Mid-Continent Conference’s final honors of the season by being named to the 2006 Softball All-Tournament Team. Tiffany Burt of Southern Utah took home MVP honors while 13 other players were selected to the squad.

Flowers (San Antonio, Texas) patrolled centerfield for the Ladies during the Mid-Con Tournament. She went 5-for-8 (.625) at the plate with a pair of RBI over the two games while playing solid defense. The sophomore finished the season with a .290 batting average to go with five homeruns and 47 runs scored.

Hall (Jefferson, Texas) batted .333 for the doubleheader while serving as a solid battery mate as the catcher for the Centenary pitching staff. A junior, Hall batted .340 on the year with 15 RBI while committing only three errors defensively.

Flowers and Hall helped the Ladies end the season with a 31-25 overall record. This is the third consecutive campaign in which head coach Mark Montgomery’s team has notched at least 30 wins. Prior to his arrival, Centenary had accomplished that feat only two times in the previous 15 years of the program.
