Micah Rhodes

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Centenary softball standout Micah Rhodes has received yet another accolade for her accomplishments on the field this season. The junior outfielder was named to the 2006 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-South Region Second Team. The selection comes after Rhodes was named first team All-Mid-Con for the third consecutive year and following an appearance in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd section. She was also honored as Centenary’s Most Outstanding Female Athlete.

Rhodes (Grapevine, Texas) led the Mid-Continent Conference in batting average for most of the season and finished with a lofty .416 average. Her 42 RBI were a team-best and her nine homeruns and 41 runs were among the Ladies' top totals as well. She is also in the top five of several other league categories. In addition, she owns almost every major single season and career offensive record at Centenary. Rhodes has also been recognized as the conference player of the week more than a handful of times in her career and was the 2004 Mid-Con Newcomer of the Year.
