Ali Hilsher

ELMHURST, Ill – Centenary keeper Ali Hilsher picked up her first Mid-Continent Conference Defensive Player of the Week award as she collected 14 saves in two matches, including a 1-0 shutout victory over Arkansas-Little Rock.  The award comes a week after setting the Ladies single game record with 17 saves against Southern Miss.

Hilsher picked up five saves as the Ladies (4-4-1) dropped their first match of the week 2-1 to Arkansas State.  She was then instrumental to the Ladies turnaround as her nine saves against UALR paced Centenary to the 1-0 victory.

The Ladies travel to Oklahoma this weekend to face Mid-Con foe Oral Roberts and Tulsa on Friday and Saturday respectively.  The Ladies lost to ORU 2-1 at home last season and was forced to cancel their match against the Golden Hurricanes because of torrential downpours and unplayable field conditions.
