Ladies Look to Make it Three Against Prairie View A&M

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary Volleyball team looks to pick up their third victory of the season over Prairie View A&M on Wednesday in their first of three home matches in the next four days.  The Ladies have already defeated the Lady Panthers at a neutral site 3-1 (30-26, 30-23, 28-30, 30-16) and on the road in Prairie View 3-1 (21-30, 30-24, 30-26, 30-21).  The match is set for 7 p.m.


Offensively, freshman Danielle Bochet leads the Ladies with 202 kills, followed closely behind by fellow freshman Ashlee Freeman and senior Tracee Byrd with 188 and 181 respectively.  Sophomore setter Lindsay Bekelja leads the team with 617 assists.


Defensively, libero Lili Williams has 171 digs, while Byrd leads the team with 183 and Bochet collecting 168.  Freeman leads the Ladies blockers with 53 blocks, including 11 solo.


The Ladies (8-10, 0-1 Mid-Con) stay home this weekend to host Mid-Continent Conference foes UMKC and Western Illinois on Friday and Saturday respectively.
