ELMHURST, Ill – Centenary sophomore Aaron Volanksi has been selected as the Mid-Continent Conference men’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Gents to a pair of home victories.  Volanksi’s scoring production played a vital role as the Gents won their first ever Mid-Con match since joining the conference in 2003.

In wins over Mid-Con foe IUPUI on Saturday and non-conference opponent Ouachita Baptist on Sunday, Volanski netted four goals and an assist, including both game-winning scores.  Centenary is now 3-0-0 playing in the friendly confines of Mayo Field this season.

Volanski leads the Gents (3-8-0, 1-1 Mid-Con) in goals with five, and scoring with 11 points.  He has also scored the game-winner in all three Centenary victories this season.

The Gents look to continue their home undefeated streak as they take on Mid-Con opponent Oakland on Saturday at 3 p.m.  The Gents have lost just once at home since the end of the 2003 season, holding a 4-1-2 record during that span.
