SHREVEPORT – The Centenary women’s soccer team returns home for a five-game homestand starting with a Mid-Continent Conference match against Western Illinois on Friday at 7 p.m.  The Ladies complete their season with five of their last six games at home, including the remaining three conference contests on the schedule.

The Ladies (5-8-1, 1-2 Mid-Con) look to qualify for the Mid-Con postseason tournament for the third time in as many years of league play.  After hosting the Westerwinds, Centenary welcomes Southern Utah and Oakland on consecutive Fridays to finish out the conference season.

Sophomore Bre Fletcher leads the Ladies with 10 points (3 goals, 4 assists) while senior Sam Savage shares the lead in goals with three of her own.

Defensively, keeper Ali Hilsher’s 93 saves put her on pace to break the Ladies’ single-season saves record of 118.  She needs just 25 more saves in the next five games to accomplish the feat.

Centenary needs to win at least two of the next three conference games for a chance at postseason competition.  Last year, the Ladies fell to Southern Utah 1-0, but defeated WIU 3-2 in double overtime and Oakland 1-0 in overtime.
