CHOUDRANT, La – The Centenary men’s golf team finished 20th at the Louisiana Tech/Squire Creek Classic with a 952, shooting a their lowest team round of the tournament at 315 in the final round.  The Gents posted rounds of 320 and 317 in the first day of action.

 

Reid Petree’s 224 (76, 72, 76) was good enough to tie for 47th place, followed by John Hogan at 238 (82, 77, 79) who tied for 93rd.  David Viviano finished 100th with a 246 (80, 86, 80), Ryan Oliver 102nd with a 251 (89, 82, 80), and Nathan Hensley 103rd with a 253 (82, 86, 85).

 

Ole Miss shot 855 to win the tournament, followed by Texas-Arlington (859) and Mississippi State (865).  The next tier included Louisiana-Lafayette and Rice (tied with 878), Louisiana-Monroe (880), Houston (881), Arkansas State (882), and Southern Miss (883), followed by New Orleans (888), Nebraska (889), South Alabama (891), host Louisiana Tech (896), North Texas and Sam Houston State (tied with 898), and Western Kentucky (902).  Rounding out the competition was Tulane and Arkansas-Little Rock (tied with 912), Stephen F. Austin (938), and Centenary (952).
