SHREVEPORT – Sophomore goalkeeper Ali Hilsher set two separate Centenary women’s soccer records in the Ladies 2-0 loss to visiting Southern Utah.  Hilsher, who had come into the match tied for the single-season saves record with 118, collected 19 saves on the night to take the lead outright.  Her performance also bested the school’s single game record she had previously set twice at 17.

Southern Utah’s Catherine Johnson scored both of the Thunderbirds goals, one in the 24th minute and the other in the 85th minute.  SUU (5-3-6, 2-1-2 Mid-Con) outshot Centenary 39 to 6, although the majority of their shots were long range, low percentage ones.

The loss eliminates the Ladies (5-11-1, 1-4-0 Mid-Con) from postseason play for the first time since joining the league in 2003.

Centenary remains home this weekend where they face non-conference opponent Nicholls State on Sunday at 1 p.m.  They then play their final home match of the 2005 season on Friday, facing Oakland in their final Mid-Con game of the season.
