NEW ORLEANS, La.—Two Centenary senior baseball players received recognition on the Louisiana Sports Writer’s Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana team announced recently. Designated hitter Justin Darr and outfielder Tim Ryan were both selected to the second team for their efforts on the baseball field this season.


Darr (The Woodlands, Texas) hit .339 as the designated hitter for the Gents. The three-year letterwinner drove in 35 runs on 57 hits and was also named first team All-Mid-Continent Conference and Mid-Con Player of the Week this season.


Ryan (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) led the Mid-Con in hitting with a lofty .398 regular season average while also leading the league with 74 hits, 36 walks, and an on-base percentage of .491. He also ranked in the top ten in the Mid-Con in slugging percentage, runs scored, RBI, doubles, triples, and stolen bases. Ryan was named first team All-Mid-Con to cap a stellar senior campaign.
