Freshman Stefani Robbs

SHREVEPORT, La. -- After registering five points in her first collegiate game, Centenary women’s soccer freshman Stefani Robbs was named Mid-Continent Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday.

In helping the Ladies to a 3-2 overtime win over Sam Houston State Sunday, Robbs scored the game-tying goal with less than three minutes remaining in regulation, sending the contest into overtime. The Dallas native struck again four minutes into the overtime period, scoring the game-winning goal in the 94th minute and helping Centenary seal its first win of the season.

After the first weekend of action in the Mid-Con, Robbs currently is the conference leader in overall shots (9) and stands second in the Mid-Con in points (5) and goals (2).

Centenary (1-0-0) travels to Nicholls State (1-1-0) Wedensday for a 3 p.m. game at Nicholls Soccer Field.
