SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Centenary women’s soccer team (2-0-0) travels to the state of Texas this weekend for games against Texas State (0-2-0) Friday and Stephen F. Austin (1-0-0) Sunday.

After winning their first two games of the season, the Ladies continue a four-game roadtrip this weekend. Friday’s game at Texas State, located in San Marcos, Texas, will be played at Bobcat Soccer Complex, while Sunday’s game at Stephen F. Austin is set for SFA Intramural Complex.

Leading the team in scoring after two games is freshman Stefani Robbs (Dallas/R.L. Turner), who has seven points on three goals and an assist. Robbs, the reigning Mid-Continent Conference Offensive Player of the Week, scored Centenary’s opening goal in Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Nicholls State and leads the team with 13 shots this season.

Standing tied for second on the team in scoring are senior Heather Kasparek (Broken Arrow, Okla./Union) and junior Bre Fletcher (Schertz, Texas/Samuel Clemens). Both Kasparek and Fletcher have two points this season, both with one goal a piece. With Robbs, Kasparek has the Ladies only other game-winning goal this season, scoring in the 53rd minute against Nicholls State Wednesday.

Junior Ali Hilsher (Tulsa, Okla./Washington) has a 2-0-0 record and a 1.47 goals-against average. Hilsher has made a combined 16 saves in Centenary’s first two games this season.

Texas State has been outscored this season by a 12-1 margin in its opening two games, losing decisions to Oklahoma State (Aug. 25) and North Texas (Aug. 27).

Scoring the lone goal this season for the Bobcats was senior midfielder Delayna Spivey. Senior Kim Phillips leads the team with four shots in two games.

In goal, Brittany Beltramini has started both games for Texas State, making 13 saves and allowing seven goals. Beltramini has a 4.67 goals-against average.

Kickoff for Friday’s game is set for 7 p.m.

Stephen F. Austin, located in Nacogdoches, Texas, enters this weekend’s game against Centenary with a 1-0-0 record. In their only contest to date, the Ladyjacks defeated Grambling State, 4-1.

Leading the team with five points is senior Shahin Pabani. In SFA’s first contest, Pabani tallied two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist. The forward leads the team with seven shots.

Kelli Wilson and Amanda Lackey also had goals in the Ladyjacks opening game.

Playing the full 90 minutes in SFA’s opener, sophomore goalkeeper Francesca Tierno made four saves and has a save percentage of .800.

Sunday’s game is set for 2 p.m.
