NATCHITOCHES, La. -- The Centenary women’s soccer team (2-3-0) dropped its third consecutive game Tuesday, falling to Northwestern State (3-2-0), 2-0, at NSU Soccer Field, in Natchitoches.

Goals by freshmen Callie Hayes and Madeline Hall led the Lady Demons to the two-goal victory Tuesday.

In the 20th minute, Hayes took a cross from sophomore Hannah Casey and beat Centenary goalkeeper Ali Hilsher (Tulsa, Okla./Washington) with a header to lift Northwestern State to a 1-0 lead.

The Lady Demons carried that lead into halftime.

Just over 10 minutes following the intermission, Hall scored her first goal of the season and extended the Northwestern State lead to two goals. Given enough space in the Centenary penalty area, Hall hit a shot from just over 15 yards that beat Hilsher in the 59th minute.

Lady Demon goalkeeper Johnna Klohoker stopped all scoring opportunities by the Ladies in the game, registering her second consecutive shutout.

Hilsher made a season-high nine saves in the loss.

Playing four road games in less than a week, Centenary returns to Mayo Field to host Arkansas-Little Rock Sunday at 1 p.m.
