FORT WORTH, TEXAS—The Centenary volleyball team travels to Fort Worth, Texas, today to prepare for its opening round match in the TCU Tournament on Friday. The Ladies will face Ole Miss at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow before locking up with TCU and Davidson on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively.

Centenary (2-5) is coming off of a pair of wins in the Econo Lodge Centenary Classic hosted by the Ladies this past weekend. The Maroon and White finished the event with a 2-2 record while recording wins over Jackson State and Southern. Junior Lindsay Bekelja and sophomore outside hitter Danielle Bochat were named to the all-tournament team for their outstanding efforts on the court. The selection was the second in as many weeks for Bekelja, who earned the same accolade at the University of Tennessee Tournament.

Freshman libero Lauren Fielding earned Mid-Continent Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 66 digs in four matches for an average of 4.71 digs per game. She collected a season–high 23 digs in the Ladies win over Southern where she also racked up five service aces.

Bochat leads Centenary with an average of 2.74 kills per game while sophomore Ashlee Freeman is close behind at 2.65 kpg. Fielding paces the Ladies defensively with 4.22 digs per game while Bochat is second at 3.00 per game. Bekelja has already dished out 218 assists for an average of 9.48 per game and freshman Christina Nichols tops the Maroon and White with 16 service aces.

The host Horned Frogs enter the tournament with two tourney titles already this season and a record of 8-1. Ole Miss sports a 5-2 mark after two consecutive wins over Marquette and Loyola-Chicago and Davidson sits at 5-3 with recent wins over Liberty and Portland.

Centenary is 0-3 all-time against the Horned Frogs of TCU. The Ladies have not faced Davidson or Ole Miss in the program’s history.
