BOSSIER CITY—The Centenary men’s golf team completed day one of the Centenary Fall Classic at Stonebridge Country Club in fifth place, 13 shots off the lead. Senior David Viviano fired a four-under 68 to claim second place behind Austin Hannah’s 65 for Oral Roberts who was competing as an independent.

 

Viviano posted five birdies on the day as he was par for the course on the par three and par four holes but excelled on the par fives, going four-under on the long holes. Newcomer Mark Weeber also placed in the top 10 with a one-over-par 73 in his first collegiate tournament. Nick Faitz, John Hogan, and Tyler Williams all shot an 81 to tie for 29th place. Matt Williams and Zach Bruhnke shot 83 (T-32nd) and 90 (35th) respectively playing as independents.

 

Day two of the Centenary Fall Classic will begin with a shot-gun start at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. The final day will consist only of a single round.
