SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Centenary women’s soccer team (2-4-0) fell to Arkansas-Little Rock (2-3-0), 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Mayo Field.

Having to brave hot and humid conditions, a goal by Arkansas-Little Rock freshman Alison Davis in the 57th minute led the Trojans to the shutout victory. After freshman Grace Rich served a low cross from the right flank, Davis got behind the Centenary defense and re-directed the cross past Ladies goalkeeper Ali Hilsher (Tulsa, Okla./Washington) and into the right corner of the net.

Davis’ goal stood up for the remainder of regulation time.

Leading Centenary on the attack, freshman Kristine Weaver (Prosper, Texas/Prosper) led the Ladies with five shots in the contest.

In the win, Little Rock senior goalkeeper Ashley Boccarossa did not register a save for the shutout, with Hilsher making seven saves for the Ladies.

In the midst of a four-game losing streak, Centenary continues its homestand Tuesday, hosting Louisiana-Monroe at 7 p.m.
