Ladies and Gents Run Well at Louisiana Tech

RUSTON—The Centenary cross country teams each nabbed a pair of victories at the Louisiana Tech Mook 5 at Lincoln Parish Park. The Ladies defeated Louisiana Tech and Louisiana College while the Gents finished on top of Louisiana College and Northwestern State.

 

Lori Von Pingel once again paced the women’s effort, placing third individually with a time of 22:55. Sunny LaGrone came in seventh (23:36) while Ashley Voorhies took eighth place (24:48) for the Ladies. Cara Miccioli (12th – 25:44), Taylor Robertson (15th – 26:38), Jenny Quillin (19th – 28:09), and Molly Broderick (23rd – 29:57) rounded out the Centenary participants.

 

The Gents claimed almost every spot from 8th to 16th with the only exception being Matt Person from Northwestern State in the 12th position. Adam Walton clocked Centenary’s best time with an 8th-place finish at 30:06. Will Boothe was a minute back at 31:15 and William Fell was close behind at 31:21, just six seconds back. Adam Nerio (11th – 32:02), Gerritt Moeller (13th – 32:53), Ryan Duplantis (14th – 32:59), Brian Williams (15th – 33:21), and Ricky Thomas (16th – 34:21) also took part in the event.

 

The Ladies and Gents will compete next on October 2nd in Natchitoches, La., in a meet hosted by Northwestern State.
