SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Centenary women’s soccer team (3-8-0) plays its final non-conference opponent of the 2006 season, hosting Louisiana Tech (4-3-2) Wednesday at Mayo Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Looking to finish the non-conference portion of the schedule on a high note, the Ladies dropped games to Southern Utah and Utah Valley State over the weekend.

Starting all 11 games in net for the Ladies this season, junior Ali Hilsher (Tulsa, Okla./Washington) has a 1.77 goals-against average and a .780 save percentage, leading the Mid-Continent Conference in saves (64) and saves per game (5.82).

Leading Centenary in scoring is freshman Stefani Robbs (Dallas/R.L. Turner), registering nine points on four goals and an assist in eight games this season. Robbs continues to be among the conference leaders in goals and points per game (1.13) this season.

Junior Bre Fletcher (Schertz, Texas/Samuel Clemens) stands second on the Ladies in scoring with six points (2 goals, 2 assists). Last season against Louisiana Tech, played Sept. 4, 2005 in Ruston, Fletcher led Centenary with six shots.

This season, the Ladies have a 1-2-0 record against teams from the state of Louisiana.

Louisiana Tech played to a 0-0 draw with Northwestern State Sept. 20, extending the Lady Techsters unbeaten streak to three games.

Scoring three of the team’s four game-winning goals this season, sophomore Emily Cleaveland leads Louisiana Tech with 11 points on five goals and an assist. After nine games, Cleaveland stands tied for the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) lead in both goals and assists, leading the WAC in game-winning goals.

Sophomore Brook Kelly also has double-digit points this season, standing second on the Lady Techsters with 10 points on four goals and two assists.

In goal, freshman Jill Medigovich has a 3-3-1 record in eight appearances this season. Medigovich has a 1.25 goals-against average and a .796 save percentage, with two shutouts to her credit.

As a team, Louisiana Tech leads the WAC in goals (17) and shots (189) this season, averaging 21.00 shots per game.

The Lady Techsters earned a 2-0 win over Centenary last season, with the all-time series between the two schools even at 1-1-0.
