Gents Stand Seventh in O'Brien Memorial

David Viviano stands tied
for 29th after 36 holes

LAKE CHARLES, La. -- After 36 holes, the Centenary men’s golf team stands in seventh place in the Moe O’Brien Memorial Tournament, played at Gray Plantation, in Lake Charles, La.

The Gents shot a two-round total of 645 (329-316) Monday, led by senior David Viviano (Lafayette, La./St. Thomas More). Standing in a tie for 29th, Viviano shot rounds of 83 and 75 for a two-round total of 158.

Tournament hosts McNeese State leads the 54-hole tournament with a score of 581 (295-286). Entering Tuesday’s final round, the Cowboys hold a 17-shot lead over second place New Orleans (598).

McNeese State junior Sigmundur Masson leads the individual competition, shooting rounds of 70-68 for a score of 6-under 138.

The final round tees off Tuesday morning.
