Women's Golf Travels to ORU Shootout

SHREVEPORT, La. -- Traveling to Tulsa, Okla., the Centenary women’s golf team plays in the Oral Roberts Shootout, held at the Meadowbrook Country Club Monday and Tuesday.

The Ladies enter their third tournament of the year in this week’s ORU Shootout, playing 36 holes Monday followed by 18 holes Tuesday.

Leading Centenary into this week’s three-round, 54-hole tournament is sophomore Jessica Garza (McKinney, Texas/McKinney North). With a team-low stroke average of 81.4, Garza finished in a tie for 24th in the Ladies last tournament, played Sept. 25-26 in Monroe, La.

Behind Garza, sophomore Tracy Williams (Van Alstyne, Texas/van Alstyne) has a stroke average of 81.5 in four rounds this season.

As a team, the Ladies average 335.6 strokes per round this season.

Designed by Perry Maxwell, Meadowbrook stretches to over 6,800 yards, with a par of 72.

Teams tee off at 8 a.m. Monday, with the second round to follow Monday afternoon.
