Baseball Holds Alumni Game and Golf Invitational

Coach Ed McCann and the Gents Host
the Alumni Weekend Nov. 5-6

SHREVEPORT, La. -- Head baseball coach Ed McCann and the Gents announce the events of 2006 Centenary Baseball Alumni Weekend, held Nov. 5-6.

Events include the 14th Annual Curtis H. Stout Invitational and the Centenary alumni baseball game.

Inviting past players back to Shehee Stadium, the alumni game will be held Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. The game is open to the public with free admission.

The 14th Annual Curtis H. Stout Invitational will be held Nov. 6 at Olde Oaks Golf Club, in Haughton, La. Currently registering for the event, a portion of the registration fees will benefit the operation and financial costs of the Gents baseball team.

The 18-hole scramble at Olde Oaks begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., with a silent auction and presentation of awards to follow. Registration fees include cart fees, beverages and lunch, in addition to prizes for the first thru third place groups, hole-in-one, longest drive and closet to the pin.

Fees for the scramble are $125 for individual players and/or $500 per four-player team. The registration deadline for the golf invitational is Nov. 2.
