Tracy Williams leads Centenary
with an 80.6 stroke average

SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Centenary women’s golf team travels to Houma, La. this week, set to compete in the 2006 Lady Colonel Invitational at the Ellendale Country Club.

The three-round, 54-hole tournament, hosted by Nicholls State University, will be held on the par 72, 7000-yard Joe Finger-designed course Monday and Tuesday.

Leading the Ladies into this week’s tournament is sophomore Tracy Williams (Van Alstyne, Texas/Van Alstyne). In seven rounds this season, Williams leads Centenary with a 80.6 stroke average, with a low round of 76.

Behind Williams, junior Chloe’ Mims (Texarkana, Texas/Pleasant Grove) has played in every tournament for the Ladies this season, with a stroke average of 81.4 in 11 rounds. In Centenary’s last tournament, Mims was the low finisher for the Ladies, finishing in a tie for 58th.

Sophomore Jessica Garza (McKinney, Texas/McKinney North) has a stroke average of 81.9 in eight rounds this season.

First round play in the Lady Colonel Invitational begins Monday morning.
