Alumni Weekend Begins for Gents Baseball

The Gents host the Alumni Game
and Golf Outing this weekend

SHREVEPORT, La. -- As the start of the 2006 Alumni Weekend begins for the Centenary baseball program, the Gents host the annual Alumni Game at Shehee Stadium.

Held Sunday at 2 p.m., the Alumni Game pits current Gent baseball players against Centenary players from the past. With free admission, the Alumni Game will feature such past players as: Dan Bria, Kris Calhoun, Tony Cardone, John Marshall and Tim Ryan, with many other Centenary alum suiting up for one more game in the sun.

In addition to Sunday’s nine-inning alumni game, fans and supporters are invited to join the Gents in the 14th Annual Curtis H. Stout Invitational Golf Outing Monday.

Held at Olde Oaks Golf Club, in Haughton, La., the Stout Invitational is an 18-hole scramble, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Prizes and awards will be handed out following the scramble, with a portion of the registration fees benefitting the Centenary baseball team.

All fans and supporters can register prior to the event at Olde Oaks, with fees set at $125 for individuals and $500 per four-player group. All fees include cart fees, beverages and lunch.
