Looking for their first conference win of the season, Centenary (4-12, 0-2) travels to Cedar City, Utah to face Southern Utah (3-11, 0-1) at Centrum Arena Saturday at 5 p.m. MST.

In Saturday’s game against the Lady Thunderbirds, Centenary looks to break a nine-game losing streak in Mid-Continent Conference games.


Centenary holds a 2-4 lifetime record against Southern Utah in Mid-Continent Conference games.

In their last visit to Centrum Arena, played Feb. 13, 2006, the Ladies fell to the Lady Thunderbirds, 73-61, unable to capture their first win on the road against Southern Utah.

Through three road games against the Lady Thunderbirds, Centenary is averaging 59.3 ppg. while allowing 72 ppg.


In seven games on the road this season, Centenary holds a 1-6 record, getting its lone win over Sam Houston State Dec. 17.

Senior guard Holli Wilkins leads the team with a 11.9 points per game average, hitting 34.2 percent of her shots from the floor and 32.5 percent of her shots from three-point range.

Sophomore Cierra Bush is right behind Wilkins, averaging 11.1 ppg. and leading the team with a 5.4 rebounds per game average. Bush is hitting 45.3 percent of her shots, while hitting 36.8 percent of her three-point shots.

As a team, Centenary is averaging 58.3 ppg. in its seven road games, allowing an average of 76 ppg. The team is hitting 35.1 percent of its shots from the floor, committing an average of 23.7 turnovers per game.


The Lady Thunderbirds enter Saturday’s game on a two-game losing streak, falling to San Diego (Jan. 2) and at UMKC (Jan. 6).

In the lone conference game of the season for Southern Utah, the Lady Thunderbirds fell to UMKC by a score of 64-48, hitting 34.5 percent of their shots.

Sophomore forward Anne Westwood leads the team with a 9.1 scoring average and a team-leading 6.6 rebounding average. Westwood is hitting 49.5 percent of her shots, playing an average of 28.5 minutes per game.

Behind Westwood, junior Erin McClean is averaging 7.5 ppg., hitting 38.9 percent of her shots from beyond the arc. McClean is averaging 3.5 rebounds per game.

Southern Utah is hitting 38.5 percent of its shots from the floor, hitting 36 percent of its shots from three-point range.

The Lady Thunderbirds are averaging 52.4 ppg., with a 3-3 record at home this season.
