NORMAL, Ill.—The Centenary gymnastics team will compete in its second meet of the 2007 season on Friday at Illinois State. In addition to facing the host Redbirds, the Ladies will also battle Southeast Missouri State and Illinois-Chicago, two teams Centenary competed against last weekend at SEMO. The meet will begin at 7 p.m.

Centenary (1-1) finished second last week behind SEMO but ahead of UIC with a team score of 188.275 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. SEMO (2-0) took all the individual titles except the floor exercise which was won by Annie Kachman of UIC (0-2).

The Ladies placed two participants in the top three of their respective events as Kristina Menne took third with a score of 37.675 in the all-around and Jessie Angus recorded a third place finish on the bars with a 9.650.

Illinois State is 0-1 on the season after dropping its opening competition to Central Michigan 191.075 to 180.400. In that meet, 2006 NCAA Regional Meet qualifier Meaghan Koshman was injured in warm-ups causing the Redbirds to have holes in their line-up for two events. It is uncertain if Koshman will take part in the meet on Friday.
