The Ladies look for their first win in the series with Oral Roberts, in search of their first conference win of the season.

Centenary looks to break an 11-game losing streak in Mid-Con games in Monday’s game against the Golden Eagles.

In conference games this season, Centenary is scoring 52.8 ppg., below its season-average of 58.2 ppg. From the field, the Ladies are shooting 33.9 percent, hitting 32.4 percent of their shots from three-point range. Centenary is averaging 37.8 rpg. in Mid-Con games.

Senior Jelena Aleksic leads the Ladies in scoring in conference games, scoring 13.0 ppg. and hitting a team-leading 50 percent of her shots. Sophomore Cierra Bush is averaging 10 ppg. and leads the Ladies with an average of 6.8 rebounds per game.

Against Chicago State Saturday, Centenary head coach Steve Curtis and his staff went with a different starting lineup, breaking a trend of eight consecutive games of using seniors Jelena Aleksic and Holli Wilkins, with junior Sara Judice, sophomore Cierra Bush and freshman Monique Jefferson.

For Saturday’s game against the Cougars, the Ladies started Bush, Judice and Wilkins with freshmen center Leslie Forest and guard Bethany Joseph.

This season, only Wilkins has started every game for Centenary, leading the Ladies with an 11.7 scoring average.

Sophomore Cierra Bush has consecutive 20-point games for the second time this season, scoring a game-high 24 points against Chicago State Saturday.

Hitting 10-of-10 free throw attempts against the Cougars, Bush raised her season scoring average to 10.5 ppg., the first time the sophomore guard has averaged double digits. Bush is hitting 40.5 percent of her shots from the floor and 80 percent of her free throw attempts.

Against UMKC Jan. 15, Bush scored 22 points to lead the Ladies.

Led by senior guard Holli Wilkins, six Centenary players rank in the top 10 statistically in the Mid-Con.

Wilkins stands seventh in the conference in scoring, leading the Ladies with 11.7 ppg. She stands second in steals (2.37 spg.) and second in three-point field goals made (1.74). The senior also is seventh in the Mid-Con in assists (2.89 apg.).

Fellow-senior Jelena Aleksic ranks eighth in the Mid-Con in scoring (11.6 ppg.), while leading the Ladies with a 44.3 field-goal percentage and standing 10th in the conference. Standing 10th in the Mid-Con in rebounding is sophomore Cierra Bush, who is averaging 6.0 rebounds per game. She stands third in the conference in free throw percentage (.800).

Freshmen Bethany Joseph has the ninth-best three-point field goal percentage (.367), joined by Leslie Forest who is tied for third in the Mid-Con in blocks (1.00 bpg.). Junior Sara Judice is eighth in the conference in offensive rebounds (1.88 rpg.).

Junior forward Sara Judice grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds against Chicago State Saturday.

Registering her third double-digit rebound game of the season, Judice raised her season rebounding average to 5.6 rpg., adding 6.6 points per game.

Following Saturday’s game, Judice became the first Centenary player this season to register back-to-back double-digit rebounding games, grabbing 10 boards against UMKC Jan. 15.

Freshman guard Monique Jefferson scored a career-high 14 points against Chicago State Saturday.

Playing a season-high 32 minutes against the Cougars, Jefferson went 6-for-10 from the field, hitting two three-point shots and grabbing six rebounds.

This season, Jefferson is averaging 5.8 ppg., 2.9 rpg. and 1.9 apg.
