SHREVEPORT—The Centenary gymnastics team will host its first home meet of the 2007 season on Friday in the Gold Dome at 7 p.m. The Ladies welcome Texas Woman’s University and Illinois State to their home arena after beginning the year with three consecutive road meets.

Centenary (1-7) is led by seniors Kristina Menne and Jessie Angus. Menne finished fourth in the all-around at last weekend’s meet with Texas Woman’s, Oklahoma, and George Washington with a score of 37.725. Angus has been one of the Ladies most consistent performers on the bars. She posted a 9.750 on the apparatus in her last meet.

Texas Woman’s University (3-3) scored a 191.275 to defeat Centenary last week and Illinois State is 3-2 on the season with wins over the Ladies, Illinois-Chicago, and Alaska.

Centenary will take to the road again for a meet at Missouri in two weeks before returning home for four straight meets in March.
