TULSA, Okla.—The Centenary men’s basketball team has won two straight and looks to extend its streak when it faces Oral Roberts in Tulsa tonight at 7:05 p.m. The Gents currently sit in seventh place in the Mid-Continent Conference standings while the Golden Eagles own the top spot with a sparkling 10-1 league record.

Centenary (9-17, 3-8 Mid-Con) enjoyed hard-fought victories over Southern Utah and UMKC in the Gold Dome last week. Starr was named Mid-Con Player of the Week after scoring 31 points against UMKC while Stallings poured in 20 points in the victory over Southern Utah.

Starr is now averaging 13 ppg and an even better 15.4 ppg in conference play. Sophomore Tyrone Hamilton continues to lead Centenary in scoring at 15.9 ppg

Oral Roberts (18-8, 10-1 Mid-Con) is paced by Mid-Con Preseason Player of the Year Caleb Green who is averaging 19.9 ppg. Fellow senior Ken Tutt is tossing in 15.7 ppg for the league’s top team. The Golden Eagles are coming off of a 22-point win over Southern Utah last Saturday and have now won every Mid-Con game except an overtime loss on the road at Valparaiso.

ORU holds a 6-1 lead in the all-time series and won the last meeting between the two teams on January 20th in Shreveport 89-66.
