SHREVEPORT, La. -- Head coach Chase Wooten and the Centenary women’s soccer team announce the signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, adding Devan Bell and Mitzi Perkins for the 2007 season.

The two junior college transfers join 10 high school players that signed with the Ladies previously, bringing the recruiting class signed by Wooten to 12 highly-capable players who can contribute to the Ladies program.

Bell, an outside midfielder from Arlington, Texas, captained Bossier Parish Community College in the 2006 season. Most likely contributing to Centenary as an outside mid or forward this first year.

Wooten says Bell is very composed with the ball, bringing an invaluable college experience to the Ladies.

Perkins comes to Centenary after having played for Shelton State Community College. A defender, Perkins has been an impact player with Shelton State for the past two seasons. Wooten describes Perkins as a very athletic back that brings good leadership to the defense and a hard-nosed style of play.

Both Bell and Perkins come to Centenary filling need positions for the Ladies.
