TULSA, Okla. -- A combined 42 points by Elisha Turek and Jenny Hardin led Oral Roberts (18-9, 7-5) to an 87-58 win over Centenary women’s basketball team (5-22, 1-11) Monday at the Mabee Center.

Turek, a senior forward who leads the Mid-Continent Conference in both scoring and rebounding, had a game-high 22 points in Monday’s win for the Golden Eagles, hitting 10-of-15 shots from the floor. The 6-foot-1 forward recorded her conference-leading 14th double-double Monday, adding 10 rebounds and helping Oral Roberts to its fourth consecutive conference win.

The Golden Eagles never trailed in Monday’s game, leading by as many as 38 points midway through the second half.

Taking a 10-point lead following a pair of free throws by Hardin with 12:10 remaining in the first half, Oral Roberts would lead by double figures for the remainder of the game. Centenary’s comeback efforts were hindered due to foul trouble for leading-scorer Holli Wilkins (Evadale, Texas) and lights-out shooting by the Golden Eagles.

For the game, Oral Roberts shot 50.7 percent from the floor, scoring 20 more points in the paint than Centenary with high-percentage shots.

Picking up her third foul of the contest with 6:01 remaining in the opening half, Wilkins had to sit out the remainder of the first half, playing only 21 minutes in Monday’s loss and finishing with just two points.

Trailing 49-27 at the intermission, Centenary could not cut into the Oral Roberts lead early in the second half, instead trading baskets with the Golden Eagles.

With 16:58 remaining, two free throws by Mariana Camargo gave the Golden Eagles their first 30-point lead of the game, not trailing by less than 30 until late in the game.

Hardin, who played her second game after returning from injury, added 20 points and seven rebounds in the win.

Leading Centenary in scoring was sophomore Cierra Bush (Campti, La.) and freshman Bethany Joseph (New Iberia, La.), both with 16 points.

For the game, Centenary shot 36.7 percent from the floor, going 4-for-19 (.211) from three-point range in the loss.

The Ladies return to action Saturday, traveling to Indianapolis to face IUPUI.
