Mark Weeber is tied for 18th
at the BSC Spring Shootout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Played on the Oxmoor Valley Golf Course, on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, the Centenary men’s golf team stands 10th in the BSC Spring Shootout after 36 holes.

Led by the play of freshman Mark Weeber (Harare, Zimbabwe), the Gents shot a team score of 613 (306-307) over the first two rounds of the tournament.

Weeber carded rounds of 3-over par 74 and 4-over 77 in the first two rounds to stand tied for 18th in the tournament.

Following Weeber, freshman Tyler Williams (Shreveport) stands tied for 38th with a two-round total of 155 (79-76). Senior David Viviano (Lafayette, La.) is tied for 49th with rounds of 79-78 (157), while freshman Nick Faitz (North Little Rock, Ark.) is tied for 51st, shooting 158 (74-84) over two rounds.

Sophomore John Hogan (Eden Prairie, Minn.) rounds out the Gent competitors with rounds of 83-76 (159) Monday.

Standing with the overall lead, tournament hosts Birmingham-Southern shot a two-round total of 580, standing three strokes clear of second place Tennessee Tech.

J.T. Clendenin of Birmingham-Southern holds the overall individual lead with rounds of 6-under 66 and 1-under 71. Clendenin has a two-round total of 137 to hold the individual lead by five strokes.

The final round of the tournament is slated for a 9 a.m. start Tuesday.
