Darr and Centenary will be tested
Tuesday against the Tigers

The stage is set for the annual game between the Centenary baseball team (8-10) and LSU (8-6), played Tuesday at Fair Grounds Field.

The Gents look to repeat the bit of magic they had in their last game with the Tigers at Fair Grounds Field, a game Centenary won by a 6-1 margin.

In the game, J.C. Biagi pitched a complete game, two-hitter for the Gents. In a true magical performance for Biagi, the Centenary pitcher struck out six and allowed just one run to help lead the Gents to the win.

The Gents look for a strong team effort against the Tigers Tuesday, who represent the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

NOLAND GETS NOD

Centenary junior pitcher Johnny Noland starts on the mound against LSU Tuesday. This season, Noland has a 0-2 record with a 5.21 ERA.

Noland got his two starts this season against Northwestern State (Feb. 13) and Penn State (Feb. 18), combining for nine strikeouts in the two games.

In his last appearance, Noland pitched two innings of relief against Toledo Saturday, helping the Gents capture a 3-2 win. Noland allowed two hits and struck out three against the Rockets over the weekend.
