SHREVEPORT—The Centenary softball team hosts Grambling State in doubleheader action on Tuesday at the Centenary Softball Complex beginning at 4 p.m. The Ladies are excited to get back on the field in a game situation after having six of their last seven games cancelled due to inclement weather.

Centenary (13-15) has only played one game in its last two weeks after being dealt bad weather conditions. The Ladies only game during that span to be played was their home contest with #8 LSU, a game they lost 9-1. This past weekend, Centenary’s entire Mid-Continent Conference opening series at Western Illinois was cancelled as well.

Centenary and Grambling State met earlier in the season and the Ladies swept the doubleheader at Grambling by the scores of 16-1 and 14-0.

The forecast for Tuesday does not look promising as there is an 80% chance of rain in the area.

The Ladies travel to Nacogdoches, Texas, on Wednesday for a single game with Stephen F. Austin of the Southland Conference. The Lady Jacks are 12-20 on the season and recently dropped two of three games in their conference series with Southeastern Louisiana. That game starts at 6 p.m. and can be followed via live stats through the SFA website located at www.sfajacks.com.
